Decades of Experience
In 1967, our founders, Pat McEvilly & Bob Phipps, began a bookkeeping and tax firm in Detroit on the corner of McNickles and Southfield. After a few years in Detroit, they moved to an office space in Redford, where the business steadily grew. Over the years, with the addition of other accountants and bookkeepers, the firm expanded its services and clientele.
In 1994, Pat retired, passing the reins to Dan Lis, who continued to serve business owners and families in Redford with their tax and accounting needs. As the firm prospered, it outgrew its Redford office and relocated to Livonia, while still serving Redford and neighboring communities. Kathy Raymor and Joe McCallion joined Dan to further support both business and individual clients.
While managing the tax firm, Dan also began assisting business owners in establishing retirement plans, later expanding into individual retirement and investment planning. In 2013, his daughter Jessica joined him, and together, they continued to serve clients in Livonia, Redford, and surrounding areas.
In 2021, Dan retired from the day-to-day operations but remains involved as a consultant, providing guidance on investment and strategic decisions while maintaining client relationships behind the scenes.
Jessica and the firm uphold the values established by Pat, Bob and Dan, prioritizing client needs, community involvement, and long-term financial support. We are committed to serving you and your family for years to come.
